Conservation Concern App on Indian Medicinal Plants Red List Med Plants Ver 1.0

           

           

 

E-tool specially designed for Android mobile users and Conservation specialists

  1. 300 medicinal plants species of Conservation Concern for India is listed.
  2. The contents of this app are derived from a rigorous process called Conservation Assessment and Management Prioritization process (CAMP) based on application of IUCN Red List Criteria and Categories (Version 3.1)
  3.  CAMP processes are conducted at state level to assess and assign the RED Listed status for promoting conservation action and management programs for specific species.
  4.  So far 19 CAMP’s have been conducted across Indian States (2 each for Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh, and 1 each for Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and West Bengal)
